Fake iPhone purchase

Postby bazza » Mon Apr 26, 2010 2:04 pm

On 21st April 2010 I purchased an iPhone for 295 euros from a shop in Puerto Rico Shopping Centre. As I've encountered Chinese cloned phones before, I specifically asked the shopkeeper if it was a genuine iPhone and he confirmed it was.
Unfortunately, having arrived home and attempted to use features other than the telephone we discover it is not a genuine iPhone.
Google shows we are not the only suckers regarding this type of phone - see http://www.iphoneowners.com/iphone-newb ... ewbie.html
I only have the debit card receipt which has 'Eurocenter' on it, but I don't think this is the name of the shop. It is the first electronics shop (plus watches and jewellery) on the right heading into the centre from the McDonalds end, just after the second flight of steps, if anyone can help to identify the shop I'd be very grateful as I need to phone them!
